Greek Government's decision on mandatory self-quarantine for all travellers upon arrival in Greece
Decision by the Greek Government on mandatory self-quarantine for all travellers upon arrival in Greece (attached, in Greek).
The main points are the following :
1. All persons entering Greece from any country (including European Union Member States), by any way or means, will follow a home-stay temporary quarantine of 14 days, for preventive reasons for the protection of public health from the further spread of COVID-19 on the Greek territory.
2. The above restriction is valid for persons entering Greece from 2.4.2020 12.00 pm to 20.4.2020 12.00 pm.
3. The persons without a residence in Greece will have to stay, for the above mentioned period, at their place of temporary residence (relative's or friend's residence, hotel) unless they stay in Greece for a shorter period, therefore the temporary quarantine is valid for that period.
4. A fine of 5.000 Euros will be imposed to any person not complying with these obligations.
5. Workers in international land, air and maritime transport services, regardless of their nationality, will have to, after entering Greece, without undue delay, either exit the country or head to their destination and then self quarantine for 14 days.
