New measures of Singapore : closure of work premises, restriction of movement

Monday, 06 April 2020

On 3 April, Prime Minister Lee announced new measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, which will be implemented from Tuesday 7 April to 4 May, as follows :

a) From Tuesday 7 April most work premises are closing except for essential services and key economic sectors such as super markets, food establishments, markets, key banking services, hospitals, clinics, transport etc. For the full list of essential services please visit https://www.gov.sg/article/covid-19-circuit-breaker-heightened-safe-distancing-measures-to-reduce-movement

b) From Wednesday 8 April all schools and pre-schools are closed. For pre-schools, there will be a limited service for parents who continue working.

c) Restrictions are tightened in movements and gatherings of people. The Singaporean Authorities urge residents to stay at home as much as possible, avoid socializing others beyond their own household and go out only to do essential things (work, buy food, exercise etc.)

In this framework, the Embassy of Greece would like to remind the Greek citizens of the need to fully respect the above measures.
