Summary of COVID Measures for entering Slovenia (valid as of 24.12.2020)

For persons entering Slovenia only for TRANSIT there is no need for test, but they are obliged to pass/exit the country in a maximum of 6 hours

For entry in Slovenia without QUARANTINE:

•    Negative Covid test needed not older than 24 hours, performed in an EU Member State or the Member of the Schengen area. Only tests performed by the PCR method are considered valid.
•    Exceptions (no quarantine and no test needed) in case of

A. persons coming from Green list countries
B. persons coming from other countries ( the updated list is available at https://www.gov.si/en/topics/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/border-crossing/ ) who are
1.    Cross-border daily labors migrant with an employment relationship in one of the EU Member / Schengen states, who has to return within 14 hours.
2.    Persons in the international transport sector.
3.    People working in transport and logistics are obliged to pass through Slovenia within 8 hours
4.    Persons traveling in transit through the Republic of Slovenia and leaving the Republic of Slovenia no later than 6 hours after entry
5.    Representatives of a foreign security body (police or judiciary) who performs an official task and leaves the country as soon as possible.
6.    Persons transported to Slovenia by ambulance and accompanying medical staff
7.    Persons with a diplomatic passport.

For all other cases entering Slovenia will fall under QUARANTINE conditions.
