Foreign Minister Kotzias meets with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Abu Dhabi, 24 March 2015)

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met a short while ago, in Abu Dhabi, with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting, which took place in a very warm climate, the two Ministers looked at the whole range of bilateral relations, expressing mutual satisfaction at the current excellent level of the relations between the two countries. Moreover, there is a shared will to further deepen and improve the fields of cooperation.

Also ascertained was a constructive convergence of views regarding all the major geopolitical global and regional issues.

Foreign Minister Kotzias conveyed Prime Minister Tsipras’s invitation to UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Crown Prince of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to carry out an official visit to Greece, and he invited his counterpart to visit Athens.

Finally, the two Foreign Ministers expressed the will to convene the 3rd meeting of the Greece-UAE Joint Interministerial Committee at the soonest possible time.
