Necessary documents for civil wedding between Greek citizens

Each person need to provide the following:
-    Passport
-    Family status certificate
-    Wedding license/permission from Greece (if the applicant cannot visit Greece, he should authorize a person in Greece to acquire this license)

For a Wedding license/permission to be issued by the Municipality, the applicant should acquire from the Consular Office:
-    Application, which is prepared in the Consular Office and then it gets attested for the signature of the applicant
-    Affirmation (Ypeythini Dilosi), gets attested for the signature of the applicant
-    Authorization for the person who will take care of the procedures in Greece

All the documents should be sent to the email you will also arrange for the appointment.

Necessary documents for civil wedding between a Greek and a non-Greek citizen

-    Passport
-    Wedding license from the Municipality, attested from the Authorities of his/her country
-    Birth Certificate, attested from the Authorities of his/her country

All the above documents should be attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE and from the foreigner’s Embassy.
All the documents should be translated in Greek.
In all cases, two Greek citizens are required as witnesses. They must present their passports at the day of the marriage.
