Foreign Minister Kotzias talks by phone with his Ukrainian counterpart, Pavlo Klimkin

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias talked by phone a short while ago with his Ukrainian counterpart, Pavlo Klimkin, who briefed him on the situation in eastern Ukraine and on the developments on the ground since Mr. Kotzias’s visit to Ukraine.

Mr. Kotzias once again raised the issue of the security of persons of Greek origin in Ukraine, asking that Mr. Klimkin show maximum interest in their situation and protection.

Mr. Klimkin assured Mr. Kotzias that the Ukrainian government is taking all of the necessary measures for the protection and security of Ukrainian citizens of Greek origin in Mariupol.
