THE PRESENCE OF GREECE IN THE UNITED NATIONS SYSTEM

Greece is one of the 51 founding members of the United Nations Organization. The country participates actively in most of the organs, commissions, organizations, agencies, programmes and funds of the UN. Abiding by the principles of multilateralism, inclusivity and equality, with respect to the fundamental values of the UN Charter. What follows is an extensive chart depicting Greece’s presence in the main UN System, which is comprised of: the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the International Court of Justice, the Secretariat, the Trusteeship Council (inactive) and the UN-related organizations.
