Foreign Minister N. Kotzias met with Yun Byung-se, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (New York, 19.09.2016)

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met his peer, Yun Byung-se, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, on Monday, September 19.

During their meeting the two Ministers agreed to promote deeper bilateral cooperation and inaugurate a political consultation process between their Ministries. Actually the two Ministers exchanged mutual invitations for reciprocal visits in the near future.

They also agreed to host Greek Week in the Republic of Korea to celebrate the culture of Greece and have a Week dedicated to Korean culture in Greece prior to the Winter Olympic Games, which are due in the city of PyeongChang, in the Republic of Korea, in 2018.

Last, the two Foreign Ministers discussed topical issues of mutual and global concern, the Korean Foreign Minister expressing satisfaction with the consistent stance of Greece on the issue of nuclear tests conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
