On the occasion of the First International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists on November 2nd, the Permanent Mission of Greece to the UN co-organized with the Permanent Missions of Argentina, Austria, France, Costa Rica, Tunisia to the UN and UNESCO on Monday, November 3rd, 2014 at 13.15-14.45, an event at the ECOSOC Chamber at the premises of the UN. The Permanent Representative of Greece to the UN, Ambassador Mr. M. Spinellis, the Deputy Director-General of UNESCO Mr. G. Engida, the Executive Director of the Committee to Protect Journalists Mr. J. Simon, the professor at the University of Columbia Dr. A. Callamard and the renowned journalist Ms. Bilbassy were the key Speakers of the Panel Discussion. Representatives of countries, including Permanent Representatives, NGOs, media representatives, attended the event. Some of them delivered a statement and participated in the interactive dialogue.
