Announcement by the Greek Embassy on the prohibition of third-country nationals to enter Vietnam and Laos.

1.Vietnam

From 12:00, 15 March 2020, temporarily for 30 days, suspend entry for travelers from the Schengen countries and the UK, as well as for travelers have visited or transited through these areas within 14 days preceding their expected entry into Vietnam.

From 00:00, 18 March 2020, temporarily for 30 days, suspend visa issuance to all foreigners to Vietnam.

Entrants to Vietnam with visa exemption or with visa issued to some special cases (such as experts, business managers, highly skilled workers) when entering Vietnam must provide medical certificate issued by the host country authority and approved by Vietnam.
All entrants to Vietnam are subject to have medical check and shall comply with Vietnam’s regulations ( mandatory quarantine and monitoring period of 14 days).
Vietnamese citizens and foreigners in Vietnam strictly enforce masks in public areas ( such as supermarkets, airports, railway/ bus stations etc).
In case traveling to Vietnam is deemed absolutely necessary, Greek citizens are advised to contact the Embassy at on 0084 24 37152263.

2. Laos

On 18 March 2020, the Government announced that suspends temporarily for 30 days, the issuance of all type of visa ( included visa on arrival, electronic visa).
