Visit of the Ambassador Mr.Kanellos and the members of the Authority atthe Parliament building where the Vietnam Assembly is housed after the invitation of the President of the Friendship Parliamentary Group with Greece, Mr. Thanh

A visit was held at the invitation of the President of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Greece, Mr. Thanh, who is also Vice-President of the Vietnamese National Committee, Ambassador Mr. Kanellos and members and associates of the Authority, at lunch, at the Parliament building where he is housed Assembly of Vietnam.

Mr. Thanh expressed the wish that the President of the House and his group to invite their Greek colleagues members of the Friendship Group, which are:

During the lunch, Mr. Thanh also referred to the particularly positive climate that has been created in the relations between the two countries, mainly after the visit of the Minister of Foreign AffairsMr.Nikolaos Kotzias to Hanoi (13-17 February 2017).

At the meeting outside of the same six members of the group, former Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece, Mr. Vu Binh, as spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spoke about the desire of his government to make rapid progress in further improving relations. Typical examples of cooperation were tourism and shipping.

The Ambassador of Greece thanked the President of the Group and assured him that he would transfer the invitation to the members of the Greek Friendship Group in the Parliamentof Greece. He also stressed that all the issues discussed during the visit of Mr. MOSCOW and that they need to be thoroughly processed by the competent services.

Regarding tourism and rural development, Ambassador Mr.Kanellos stressed that common groundwork for cooperation should be sought and said that for the first two years, two ships of Greek interests were built in Nijasin, Vietnam.

Finally, President of the province of Ben Tre (tourist area) invited the Greek Ambassador to participate as a speaker at the Investment Conference expected to take place in the coming July.
