Statement by Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs G.Katrougalos at the conclusion of his meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Russian Federation, A.Grushko 18.01.19

G. KATROUGALOS: “We had a meeting in a very warm atmosphere during which both sides confirmed our willingness to improve even further our already excellent - and historically good - bilateral relations, both on an economic and a political level. We discussed various bilateral and regional issues, and we affirmed our commitment to international law; to the need to resolve differences through dialogue and respect of sovereignty and non-involvement in the internal affairs of foreign countries. We discussed economic issues in more detail. The next Joint Interministerial Committee is due to take place in Thessaloniki, in April. We agreed for it to be well organised and to have an exchange of the necessary information until then, so that it proves to be mutually productive. We shall also continue talks on a ministerial level. We submitted a detailed action plan so that our next moves are well planned and substantive.”
