URGENT INFORMATION NOTICE TO APPLICANTS
In adopting prompt preventive measures for the protection of public health against the galloping spread of the COVID19 virus, the European Union Council enforced a temporary (30 day – period) entry ban of third country nationals travelling to the E.U.
In conjunction, the Greek Government, by means of a Decision on March 17 – text attached both in Russian and English (see the exceptions stipulated therein) – issued an entry ban of third country nationals, from all entry points, into the country for a period of time starting from 18.03.20 until 18.04.20, until further notice.
Therefore:
• We do advise holders of a long validity Schengen visa, affixed on their passport, not to travel to Greece within the abovementioned time period (18.03 – 18.04.20), as they will be denied entry.
• Furthermore, in keeping with cluster 5 of the Greek Government’s Decision in question, those subject to the temporary travel ban have the right to apply to the Consulate General of Greece in Moscow for entry into Greece invoking and justifying urgent professional (e.g. signature of a contract / fulfillment of a contractual engagement) or personal (serious illness or death of a first decree relative) reasons.
