Visit of the Greek Ambassador to Leskovac
In the framework of regural contacts with local authorities, Ambassador Stoidis paid a visit to the Municipality of Leskovac in South Serbia on the 6th March 2013.
During his visit, Ambassador Stoidis held meetings with the Mayor of Leskovac Mr. Goran Cvetanovic, as well as the President of the local Commercial and Industrial Chamber Mr. Goran Jovic. Mr. Stoidis also attended the signarure of a memorandum of cooperation between the local Chamber and a Greek Real estate company.
In his statements on the local media, Ambassador Stoidis welcomed the signature of the afore-mentioned memorandum, expressing the wish that this new cooperation would prove mutually beneficial and would contribute to the further economic development of the region. Subsequently, the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic underlined the significance of the Greek investments in Serbia, noting that the latter have managed to maintain their strong position despite the difficult economic backdrop, contributing therefore to the development of the Serbian economy. Last but not least, Ambassador Stoidis expressed his gratitude towards the Serbian citizens for choosing Greece as their preferred tourist destination.
