Greek folk music group Taximi receives the 2012 Sture Linnér Award. Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities. September 13th, 2012

The 2012 Sture Linnér Award was presented by the Society of the Friends of the Swedish Institute at Athens, Föreningen Svenska Atheninstitutets Vänner, to the Greek folk music group Taximi. The ceremony, attended by H.E. the Ambassador of Greece, Mrs. Aliki Hadji, was held at the Mediterranean Museum in Stockholm, on 13 September 2012.

The Society’s Prize 2012 was awarded to Mrs. Bodil Nordström-Karydaki, Cultural Secretary of the Swedish Institute at Athens. Taximi music group and Mrs. Nordström-Karydaki were warmly congratulated by the Ambassador of Greece, Mrs. Aliki Hadji, the Society´s President, Ambassador Krister Kumlin and Sture Linnér´s son, Mr. Allan Linnér.
