Historical visit of his All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew  visited Stockholm from September 27th until October 1st  on the occasion of the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary since the establishment of the Holy Metropolis of Sweden and All Scandinavia.

On September 28th, the Ecumenical Patriarch delivered the keynote address at the  first-ever Clergy-Laity Assembly/Synaxis of the Metropolis of Sweden and all Scandinavia and on Sunday September 30th his All-Holiness celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. George Cathedral of Stockholm and visited the Greek School of Stockholm. On October 1st  the Ecumenical Patriarch attended the General Synod of the Church of Sweden and delivered a speech  as guest of honour.

While in Stockholm, the Ecumenical Patriarch met with the Prime Minister of Sweden Mr. Stefan Löfven, while in Uppsala he met with the King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf, e Crown Princess Victoria and the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Mr. Andreas Norlén.
