October 6th - 9th, 2011

Five young Swedish cinematographers will travel to the Greek island of Samos, where they will have the opportunity to meet five Greek colleagues, during a four-day Documentary Films Seminar/Workshop, organized by the Embassy of Greece in Stockholm in collaboration with Film Stockholm, the Central Public and Historical Library of Samos, the Samos Film Association as well as the Swedish Friends Association of the Cultural House in Vathi.

The young cinematographers will exchange their experiences and points of view, establish new contacts and create a short film which will reflect the joined Greek-Swedish team’s common perspective.

The Seminar will take place in the Library as well as at Samos’ countryside.

Parallel events include screening of films by Film Stockholm and the Cinematographers’ team at Samos Film Association as well as an exhibition at Samos Library on the work and vision of young artists.

The Swedish guests will stay at the traditional town of Vathi.
