Press Office

The Press and Communication Office in Stockholm is responsible for Embassy’s contacts with press and media in Sweden, for channeling official information relating to Greece to journalists, opinion makers etc, to inform on policies and positions of Greece on political, economic, cultural and other issues relating to Greece but also issues of international interest.

Among other things, the Press and Communication Office handles requests from journalists in Sweden for granting interviews and statements by Greek officials, for licensing filming for press visits to Greece etc. It also supports and facilitates contacts with Swedish media in the context of visits to Sweden by the state and political leadership of the country, the Speaker of Parliament, leaders of political parties represented in the Greek Parliament, parliamentarians of the Greek or the European Parliament.

The Press and Communication Office monitors the Swedish media and press focusing on its reviews, to news and issues concerning Greece.
