New Honorary Consulate of Greece in Lugano
On November 28th, 2014, the new Honorary Consulate of Greece in Lugano was inaugurated with a Holy water ritual at the premises of the Consulate. Subsequently, a reception was held at the Principe Leopoldo Hotel. The new Honorary Consul, Mr. Alexandros Papadatos-Beis presented the history of the Consulate, as well as his consular duties. A speech was delivered, among others, by Ambassador of Greece, Mr. Charalambos Manessis. The Honorary Consulate of Greece in Lugano was created in 1935 and Mr. Papadatos-Beis is the 4th Honorary Consul, his consular territory including the Canton of Ticino.
