Official Visit of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias to Switzerland

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias paid an official visit in Switzerland, 1-4 of May, 2014. This visit was of historic importance since it was the first official visit of a Greek President in Switzerland. The President was accompanied by Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Kefalogianni and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Kourkoulas and was welcomed by his Swiss homologue, Mr. Didier Burkhalter in Bern. The two Presidents discussed bilateral and international issues. The President and the Greek delegation also visited the United Nations and the European Centre of Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, and met with representatives of Greek associations in Zurich.
