Education Office, Brussels

The Education Office at the Greek Embassy in Brussels is a department of the Ministry of Education in Greece. It coordinates and supervises Greek language education in following countries: Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

The Education Office promotes the teaching of the Greek language and culture to members of the Greek diaspora and also to foreigners .

It organises education and training courses for the teachers who teach in daily and afternoon Greek schools.

The Education Office organizes and coordinates each year, the examination for the Certificate of Knowledge of Greek Language, in cooperation with the Centre for the Greek Language, which was established in 1994 in Thessaloniki, Greece, as a non-profit organization supervised by the Greek Ministry of Education.
