Recruitment of local staff for the economic and commercial section of the General Consulate of Greece in Istanbul

Job description  (main duties)

Monitoring Turkish economy (macroeconomic developments, regulatory framework of the business environment) as well as the evolution of the economic and commercial relations of Greece and Turkey.

Providing in depth information (market reports) to Greek companies interested in expanding (exporting, investing, cooperating) their activities in Turkey and enable them to contact either potential Turkish companies for cooperation or the competent Turkish Authorities and relevant bodies (in order to have their assistance in solving problems that may arise). Providing also information to Turkish companies willing either to import Greek products and services or investing in Greece.

Supporting trade missions by identifying and promoting business match making in order to expand bilateral commercial relations. Translating from Turkish to English and vice versa.

Requirements and qualifications

University degree, preferably in the field of economics.
Excellent knowledge of Turkish and English. Knowledge of Greek would be a strong asset.
Excellent  communication and public interface skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to work as a part of a team with a high sense of responsibility, adaptability and initiative.
Relevant previous professional experience would be a strong asset.

Conditions of employment 

Two year contract.
Regular working hours Mon-Fri, 09.00 – 16.30.
Occasional need for work at irregular hours.
