VACANCY: Local Agent for Translation, Interpretation and Press Tasks

Job Description (main duties)
-According to requirements, assume a variety of translation and press tasks, involving, inter alia, translation and interpretation from Turkish to English and vice versa, inter-face with the public, reporting, communication with Turkish and foreign public and private institutions, companies and individuals.

Requirements and qualifications
- University degree.
- Excellent knowledge of Turkish and English and ability to translate to and interpret from both languages.
Knowledge of Greek would be an asset.
- Excellent communication and public-interface skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a high sense of responsibility, adaptability and initiative.
- Relevant previous professional experience would be an asset.

Conditions of employment
- Two-year contract.
- Regular working hours Mon-Fri, 09:00-18:00 (including lunch break from13:00 to 14:00).                                          
Occasional need for work at irregular hours, incl. weekends.

- The Embassy will make a pre-selection on the basis of the CVs and will shortlist the candidates

by 25 October.
