Music Recital “Make Music, Universal Colors of Music”

The Consulate General of Greece in Istanbul has the honor to present you a music recital by the students of Lynn Trepel Çağlar from İstanbul State University Conservatory of Music, entitled “Make Music, Universal Colors of Music”

Friday, 21th of June 2019, 19:30 at Sismanoglio Megaro.

“Make music” is a free celebration of music around the world held on June 21st.

Launched in 1982 in France as the Celebration of Music (Fête de la Musique) and it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries. “Make music” is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician, young and old, amateur and professional, comes together and shares music. This evening is a selection of various song styles from many different countries.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

İstanbul State University Conservatory is a major national music school founded in 1914. The singers who are performing in this concert are students in the opera/voice department at the university. They are students in the voice class of mezzo soprano Lynn Trepel Çağlar and pianist Nurser Ugan. Lynn Trepel Çağlar has been an opera singer at İstanbul State Opera from 1984 until 2016 and has been a voice teacher at the conservatory since 2001. Nurser Ugan has been a pianist and vocal repetitor at the conservatory since 2000 and accompanies many performers in private concerts and in international voice competitions. The singers represent all levels of classes at the İstanbul University Conservatory.
