Foreign Minister Kotzias meets with the Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, within the framework of the proceedings of the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers (Brussels, 19 May 2016)

Within the framework of his participation in the proceedings of the Meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which is taking place in Brussels, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias met today with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

During the meeting, which took place in a constructive atmosphere, the two Ministers agreed on the need to maintain close cooperation between the two sides, with the aim of reducing tensions and avoiding provocation of needless deterioration in bilateral relations.

Mr. Kotzias also invited Mr. Çavuşoğlu to visit Greece in the coming time and asked his counterpart to convey his congratulations to the next Prime Minister of Turkey, Binali Yıldırım.
