The six-month long Greek Presidency of the European Union, came to a close on the 27th of June with a concert, held at the Ancient Theater of Efessos, by world renowned tenor Marios Fragoulis, famous soprano Aytul Bujuksarac and the Izmir State Opera and Ballet Orchestra under the direction of the world class conductor, Loukas Karytinos. His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the Vice President of the Parliament of Greece Mr G. Kalantzis, representatives of local Authorities and members of the diplomatic and consular corps were among the large audience that attended the concert which, besides being an important summer musical event constituted one more brilliant example of the creative success of Greek-Turkish cultural cooperation.
