VACANCY: Local Agent for translation tasks at the Embassy of Greece in Ankara
Job Description (Main Duties)
Αssume translation tasks, including mainly translation and/or summary of texts to and from Turkish and Greek.
Requirements and Qualifications of the applicants:
• Turkish citizenship and /or permanent residence in Turkey or residence permit in Turkey
• University degree
• Excellent knowledge of Turkish and Greek
• Ability to translate to and from Turkish and Greek
• Very good computer skills (Excellent knowledge of MS Word, knowledge of Internet email and social media applications etc.)
• Proficient knowledge of English will be taken into consideration as a preferable asset
• Background on Middle East and regional politics would be an additional asset
• Good communication and public interface skills
• Ability to work as a part of a team, with a high sense of responsibility, adaptability and initiative
• Relevant professional experience will be taken into consideration
• Clean criminal record
• Strong sense of confidentiality
Conditions of employment
• Two-year contract
• Full time regular work hours (Mon-Fri, 09:00-18:00 incl. lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00)
• Frequent need for work at irregular hours, including weekends
