Online declaration of loss of Greek passport or ID card Greek citizens are now able to declare online the loss of their Greek ID card or passport, provided that the citizen holds a TaxisNet or web banking account. Alternatively, they candeclare the loss at their closest Greek Consular Authority. Attention: In accordance with the Community Code on Visas short term visitors to Greece (and to the Schengen area in general) must be in possession of a valid travel document. The Travel document’s validity shall extend at least three months after the intended date of departure from Greece (or the Schengen area in general), and it shall have been issued within the previous 10 years Attention: ETA authorisation will be needed for entry of Greek citizens in the UK from 2 April 2025

List of supporting documents for issuing passports to minors

For minors (under the age of 18) both parents/legal guardians and the children must be present on the day of the application holding a valid ID (new type) or passport. If not, it is necessary to present the written consent of the parent who cannot be present. The consent must be issued within 6 months of the passport application and dully legalized by public authority or via gov.gr.

In case of a minor born out of wedlock that has been recognized voluntarily or judicially by the father, the presence of both parents is required. If one of the two parents is unable to attend the appointment, his / her written consent is required, validated by a Greek public authority or via gov.gr and issued within 6 months of the passport application

1. Application (Please submit it printed & completed)

2. A recent passport (if any).

3. Two (2) recent (last month) color photos 4x6 cm. of technical specifications.

4. ID card for minors over 12 years (if any) AND a photocopy of both sides.

In case the minor applicant does not possess an ID card, in order for the appointment to proceed faster, please fill in the application for ex officio search of birth certificate with the applicant's details and send it to the e-mail address mentioning the date and time of your appointment, at the latest 3 days before the appointment. To facilitate our search, please check the correct input of the applicant's details in greek, and send us, in addition, application(s) filled in with the details of the applicant's parents in greek.


Attention: In case parents are divorced and one of them has custody of the minor, it is necessary to present the Court decision. In case the court decision is not final and irrevocable, a certificate of appeal issued within the last six months is required. In case of an EU court decision, it must be legalized (Apostille) and translated by a certified translator. The translation must be certified by our Authority. In case of court decisions of third countries, they must be ratified by a Greek court.

Service Cost: For minors up to 14 years: the equivalent in pounds of 73.60 Euros depending on the exchange rate of the current month (passport valid for 3 years). Payment is made in cash, credit or  debit card.
For minors over 14 years: the equivalent in pounds of 84.40 Euros depending on the current month exchange rate (passport valid for 10 years). Payment is made in cash or by UK issued debit card.
For documents that authentication of the original signature is required, it is priced at 10 Euros for Greek/EU citizens and 30 Euros for third country nationals equivalent in Sterling.
