British Airways announces direct flights to Kos and Corfu from London next summer
The UK’s largest international scheduled airline British Airways will link London Heathrow Airport with two Greek islands next summer, according to an announcement made today.
«British Airways» continues to invest in new services and routes, showing its confidence to the Greek market, and in the summer of 2015 will add two other islands, Kos and Corfu, to its list of destinations,” Freddie Stier, director of British Airways in Greece, said.
The airline will launch two weekly flights to Kos every Tuesday and Saturday and four weekly flights to Corfu every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday. Flights to both destinations will begin on 1 May 2015 and run until 20 September 2015. They will be operated using Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
Ms. Stier said that the new routes from the UK to Greece will strengthen the local economy of the two islands and give the opportunity to even more people to visit Greece for their holidays with a direct flight.
