Online declaration of loss of Greek passport or ID card Greek citizens are now able to declare online the loss of their Greek ID card or passport, provided that the citizen holds a TaxisNet or web banking account. Alternatively, they candeclare the loss at their closest Greek Consular Authority. Attention: In accordance with the Community Code on Visas short term visitors to Greece (and to the Schengen area in general) must be in possession of a valid travel document. The Travel document’s validity shall extend at least three months after the intended date of departure from Greece (or the Schengen area in general), and it shall have been issued within the previous 10 years Attention: ETA authorisation will be needed for entry of Greek citizens in the UK from 2 April 2025

The Greek Ambassador Mr. Konstantinos Bikas presented yesterday, January 28, 2014, the priorities of the Greek Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the EU in the House of Lords EU Select Committee chaired by Lord Boswell of Aynho. During the meeting of the Select Committee, almost all its members addressed questions related to the three main and one horizontal priority of the Greek Presidency and it was noted their keen interest for the Greek Presidency. The EU Select Committee’s Chairman Lord Boswell expressed, on behalf of its members, the request for further briefings, when needed, as the Greek Presidency unfolds.

The Greek Ambassador Mr. Bikas, also, presented the priorities of Greek Presidency at an event organised in St. Anthony’s College of Oxford by the South Eastern European Studies at Oxford – SEESOX with the presence of the Ambassadors of all the countries of South Eastern Europe. Mr. Bikas presented the programme of the Greek Presidency on energy issues at a conference organised by the International Business and Diplomatic Exchange (IBDE) at King’s College, London in the presence of about 150 academics and business people from the field of energy.
