"Rodos Week" - Call for Beneficiaries to register
The Ministry of Tourism of the Hellenic Republic has completed preparations for the implementation of the Rodos Week scheme. Rodos Week is a week-long free stay initiative, aimed to provide financial assistance to individuals, regardless of nationality, who stayed in hotels that were evacuated during the wildfires on Rhodes island in July 2023.
On March 29, 2024, the Registry of Beneficiaries was completed, created from data entered by the Evacuated Hotels and the Tour Operators who managed reservations for individuals staying in Rhodes during the wildfires in July 2023. On the same day, a link (URL) was sent to the contact email address of the beneficiaries to complete their registration.
As announced by the Ministry of Tourism on April 1st, beneficiaries of the scheme who were inadvertently not registered by the Evacuated Hotels and Tour Operators, and, therefore, have not received the aforementioned link to their e-mail address by March 29, can apply by April 4, 2024, to be included in the Registry of Beneficiaries via the Rodos Week online application here.
As part of the “Rodos week” scheme, beneficiaries are granted a one-time, week-long free stay (7 days) in a hotel of similar category (star rating) and room type to the one they stayed in during the fires. The specific financial support is provided as a travel voucher (e-voucher). Two time periods are defined during which beneficiaries can redeem the e-voucher:
- 1st Period – Spring, from 10/04/2024 to 31/05/2024
- 2nd Period – Autumn, from 01/10/2024 to 15/11/2024
