Online declaration of loss of Greek passport or ID card Greek citizens are now able to declare online the loss of their Greek ID card or passport, provided that the citizen holds a TaxisNet or web banking account. Alternatively, they candeclare the loss at their closest Greek Consular Authority. Attention: In accordance with the Community Code on Visas short term visitors to Greece (and to the Schengen area in general) must be in possession of a valid travel document. The Travel document’s validity shall extend at least three months after the intended date of departure from Greece (or the Schengen area in general), and it shall have been issued within the previous 10 years Attention: ETA authorisation will be needed for entry of Greek citizens in the UK from 2 April 2025

Οn the 18th of October, the “Odysseus Awards” of the 7th London Greek Film Festival ceremony took place in «Theatro Technis», under the direction of Mr. Christos Prosylis and the support of the Greek Organization of Tourism. The awards were presented by the correspondent of the Greek TV Station « SKAI», Mr. Thanasis Gkavos, while the Ambassador of Greece, Mr. Konstantinos Bikas, among others, addressed the audience and handed an award.

The festival, run from October 6 until October 18, started with a special screening of the Greek film “The Trojan Women”, directed by Michael Cacoyannis (1971). More than 70 films and 20 scripts were presented in this year’s festival at the Westbourne Studios, a location nearby the artistic neighbourhood of Portobello. At the same time, 20 selected short and feature film scripts were presented online. Film categories included feature fiction films, short fiction films, documentaries, experimental films, as well as video art.
