09/21/2016: Student Orientation Workshop
Student Orientation Workshop
R.S.V.P.
It is with great pleasure that the Circle of Hellenic Academics in Boston, in collaboration with the New England Hellenic Medical and Dental Society and the Hellenic Bioscientific Association in the USA, under the aegis of the Consulate General of Greece in Boston, invite all students of Greek heritage, who are beginning or continuing their studies at colleges and universities in and around the Boston area, to the 2016 Student Orientation Workshop and Welcome Reception to be held at the Greek Consulate in Boston on September 21 from 6:00- 8:00 pm.
This event will serve as an introduction to academic life in the United States, providing the necessary tips students need to excel in every aspect of college life. This event is different from any other academic lecture you might attend and is unlike the rest of your orientation activities because it aims to provide you with both immediate and practical applications and has been designed specifically to address difficulties that you may encounter or have.
Professors from local universities such as Boston University, Tufts and MIT will serve as guest speakers for the workshop. Each speaker has been asked to prepare a short presentation and will be available for a question and answer section immediately following the conclusion of the event. We welcome students beyond the freshman year: anyone who has come to the States to continue his/her studies is also welcome, including graduate students. Beyond this unique opportunity to meet the professors who will speak and in addition to learning about ways to optimize your opportunities during your studies, you will have a chance to meet fellow Greek and Greek American students from the Greater Boston area.
