An Evening of French and Greek Culture, Boston, June 13, 2013
The French Cultural Center and the Greek Consulate are delighted to celebrate the bonds between French and Greek cultures this summer.
Greek culture is the foundation of most European cultures. French culture was certainly developed from it, and proof is the presence of Greek roots in French language, as well as the importance of history, literature and philosophy in both societies.
Guests are invited to join us for an evening of music, art and food to celebrate the cultural ties and the strong friendship between France and Greece. Berklee professor Panos Liaropoulos and his ensemble, The Greek Music Ensemble, will perform a special musical program including French and Greek songs. In addition, a one-night exhibition of photographer Amalia Sotiropoulou's works will be on display, picturing a dynamic contemporary Greece.
There will be French wine and appetizers from Sofra Bakery and Cafe.
