- The Consulate General of Greece in Chicago calls Greek citizens wishing to return to Greece, to do so as soon as possible through existing commercial flights. Transportation from the U.S. to Europe is rapidly becoming challenging.


- If you are not able to prove your Greek citizenship, email us at and we will issue a document certifying you are a citizen of Greece. Please mention your:


First and last name
Father’s name
Mother’s name
Date of birth


all spelled in Greek and provide a scanned copy of your U.S. passport.


- Starting March 20th, people who enter Greece are subject to a COMPULSORY and not a voluntary 14-day home restriction, with a fine of 5,000 euros in case of non compliance.
