24th Joint Shipping Conference, 13.2.2108

For a 24th successive year, the Hellenic-American and Norwegian-American Chambers of Commerce jointly hosted their annual world shipping conference in New York.

The conference was attended by more than 150 participants, the majority of whom are corporate executives from the international shipping community (including Greek shipping companies), interested in discussing the industry's current trends and future prospects. The event was covered by media specializing in the sector. The speakers focused on the latest technological developments in the field, new financial tools, the influence of political developments on the industry's course of action, as well as on issues of environmental protection.

The day before (February 12), the Consul General of Greece in New York, Mr. Konstantinos Koutras hosted a reception at the consular residence, in honor of the conference's hosts and distinguished guests, in the presence of the Consul General of Norway in New York, Ms Harriet Elisabeth Berg.
