Annual commemoration in honor of the Greek Jewry Holocaust victims

The annual commemoration of the Holocaust of the Greek Jewry took place on Tuesday,  February 2, 2016 at the Consulate General of Greece in New York. The event was organized in collaboration with the American Friends of the Jewish Museum of Greece, in the presence of numerous guests, including academics, business people, students and journalists. The program included a presentation “Understanding the Holocaust” by Ambassador Loucas Tsilas, a welcome speech by the Consul General, Ambassador G. Iliopoulos, a prayer by Rabbi A. Cohen, a greeting by the President of the American Friends of the Jewish Museum of Greece, Mr. S. Asser and closing remarks by His Eminence Geron Archbishop Demetrios of America.
