Event for the launch of the series "Maestro in Blue" on Netflix

On March 15th a spectacular event was held with great success for the launch of the Christoforos Papakaliatis’ Greek series "Maestro in Blue" on Netflix. This is the first Greek series, whose rights are acquired by Netflix, and is produced by MEGA TV.

The event took place in the Holy Trinity Cathedral "Chiotis" Hall in Manhattan and was organized by "Capital Link" and "Alter Ego Media", while it was held under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York.

The director of "Capital Link" Olga Bornozi, who coordinated the event, welcoming the -mostly Greek-american audience- expressed her gratitude for the sponsors and supporters of the event, as well as for the communication sponsors.

The Consul General of Greece in New York, Dinos Konstantinou, referring to Christoforos Papakaliatis, praised his contribution to Greek cinematography. He also emphasized that the projection of this Greek series on a global platform Netflix, where the international audience will enjoy the wonderful Greek landscapes of Paxos, was of particular importance both for Greek cinematography and for the image of Greece.

At the event - which was attended by over 300 Greek-Americans - the wish "Good luck" was heard for the first Greek series of the protagonist, screenwriter and director Christoforos Papakaliatis, which will be shown to the international audience through the Netflix platform from Friday, March 17, 2023.

Christoforos Papakaliatis thanked the Greek-American audience for their presence, noting that he has long-standing strong ties with the Greek-American community in the USA, which has supported him every step of the way. He then referred to the series and the challenges he faced during the filming of its nine hour-long episodes in his home island, Paxos. He also revealed that the success of the series gave him the impetus to prepare the second part of the series.

A trailer of the series was shown and then Christoforos Papakaliatis answered the questions of the audience.

Also, the Greek-American President of "The Hellenic Film Society USA", James Demetro, addressed a greeting at the event, referring to the screenings of Christoforos Papakaliatis’ previous films within the New York Film Festival, and emphasized that this series is equal to the previous ones.
