Event for the National “OXI” Day οf October 28th
The Consulate General of Greece in cooperation with the Cultural and Educational Committee of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce, the Hellenic American Bankers Association, the Hellenic Medical Society of New York and the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity organized on Monday, November 5, 2013 the eight annual «D. Contos» event for the Greek National Day of October 28th. Professor Louis Katsos offered a lecture on “The OXI day and its influence on Hellenic-Americans”, followed by the screening of a short film by Vassilis Loules, "Memories of my mother Lela Karagiannis". Archbishop Demetrios of America, the Consul General of Greece Mr. Georgios Iliopoulos and the President of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce Mr. Michael Theodorobeakos addressed the audience.
