Exhibition "Passage" by Yorgos Giotsas
On Wednesday, September 13th, 2017, the opening of the exhibition "Passage" by Yorgos Giotsas was held in the Italian American museum, by curator Paolo Casinelli and under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York.
The exhibition is about migration and is presented for the first time at the american audience.
Yorgos Giotsas attended painting lessons at the Art School in Greece and graphic design at the University of Herrfordshire of the U.K.
His works are shown in many exhibitions throughout Europe and are also included in collections of museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Monsummano Italy, the Museum of Szentendre in Hungary and in the Museum Kresow in Lubaczow, Poland.
The greek artist was presented by the president of the museum Mr. Joseph V. Scelsa and also the Consul General of Greece, Konstantinos Koutras greeted the event.
The opening was attended by representatives of the diplomatic and consular corps, university professors, entrepreneurs, owners of galleries, members of the Greek American and Italian American community and journalists.
The exhibition will be hosted in the Italian American museum until November 12th.
