The Consulate General of Greece in New York is seeking an individual for the position of Telephone Operator.

Employment type: Full-Time
Length of Hire: Two-Year Contract
Monthly Salary/Grant: 2.500, 00€

Eligibility criteria:
The incumbentshould be at least 23 years old and either have the required work and/or residence permits or be an American citizento be eligible for consideration.

Male candidates of Greek nationality must have fulfilled their military obligations or have a permanent exemption from military service.

Selection Criteria / Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

•    Proficient in spoken and written Greek and English (sufficient knowledge of French language would be an asset)
•    High School Diploma or GED (University degree would be an asset)
•    Strong computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, Internet and Outlook Express.
•    At least one (1) year of work experience in a similarfield 
•    Copy of criminal record
•    Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
•    Multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a team
•    High-moral standing and personal integrity

Social security contributions are covered by the Greek State at the percentage of 24.33% on remuneration.
