The opening of the Exhibition: “Past and Future: Students of the Cathedral School discover Greek heritage through art” took place on Wednesday, March 6th, at 6:00p.m., in the presence of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America.

The Exhibition is being held under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece, is hosted at the Consulate General of Greece (69 East 79th Str.) and is open to the public for four weeks, during the Consulate’s visiting hours (Mon. – Fri.: 9:00am – 2:30pm).

In the framework of their art classes, the Cathedral School students have studied different aspects of the Greek culture and have been inspired to create their own works of art. All students, from kindergarten to 2nd grade, participate in the exhibition with over 70 drawings, sculptures, and papier mâché projects. Τhe organizers wish to strengthen the young students’ bond with Greece, through a constructive interaction of Education, Culture, and Tradition.
