Presentation of the book «Internet addiction»

The book «Internet addiction» was presented on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in New York in the presence of two of the three authors, namely the Director of the Cyber Crime Center of the Hellenic Police Mr. Ε. Sfakianakis and of the psychiatrist and President of the Greek Society for the Study of Internet Addiction Disorder Mr. Κ. Siomou.

The book was presented by the Consul General of Greece, Mr. G. Iliopoulos, and by the journalist, Mr. M. Ignatiou, under the coordination of the publisher and journalist Mr. A. Zoupaniotis.

The event was organized by the Cretan Association of New York «Omonoia» and the publishing house «Livanis».

All speakers agreed that the Internet is an integral part of contemporary life, while acknowledging the need for proper use, mainly for young users and emphasizing the role that parents have in shaping the «Internet behaviour» of their children.
