On February 29th, the opening of the second part of the artistic Carte Blanche project took place at the Consulate General of Greece in New York. The project aims to promote the work of Greek artists living and creating in New York through regular bi-monthly art exhibitions hosted at the Consulate General.
The second guest artist of Carte Blanche project is the Greek-American artist Alex Eagleton with his work "Day N Night".
Welcoming the artists and the distinguished guests, the Consul General of Greece in New York, Ambassador Dinos Konstantinou, said that the Carte Blanche Project is a pilot project for the promotion of Greek artists designed and presented by the Consulate General of Greece in New York in collaboration with the Advisory Arts Committee comprised of Eirini Linardaki, Natasha Katerinopoulos, Lolita Koutoudi, and Panos Tsagaris.
He also mentioned that this program of bimonthly art exhibitions hosted at the Consulate is made possible with the significant support of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce.
«The honored artist of the second Carte Blanche to be exhibited is Alex Eagleton, whose unique perspective and mastery of his art and artistry is a testament to creativity, passion and innovation in painting and sculpture», he also stressed.
Addressing the guests, the Greek-American artist Alex Eagleton expressed the joy, gratitude and honor he feels as he exhibits his works on the Greek territory of the Consulate, while on behalf of the advisory committee Eirini Linardaki praised the initiative of the Greek Consulate to promote young Greek artists on the cultural map of New York.
