Reception in honor of the Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras 

The Consulate General of Greece in New York hosted a reception on September 26th in honor of the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Alexis Tsipras.
In his speech Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras emphasized on the current economic situation in Greece, the latter’s geopolitical significance and its role in the new correlation of power across the Mediterranean region. Mr. Tsipras noted the upgrading of the bilateral relations with the US and praised the support and contribution of the Greek Diaspora to its motherland. 
The reception was attended by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Kotzias, Minister of Digital Policy Nikos Pappas, Alternate Finance Minister George Chouliarakis, and Social Solidarity Alternate Minister Theano Fotiou. The reception also welcomed friends, as well as distinguished members of the Greek-American community.
