COVID-19: Important message from the Consulate General of Greece in Tampa
Dear fellow Greeks, Dear friends of the Consulate General of Greece,
Based on current concerns regarding the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Consulate General of Greece in Tampa is taking steps to safeguard the health and safety of the public and our employees.
- As of Tuesday, March 17th, 2020, and until further notice, the Consulate General will provide its services on a limited basis.
- All consular tasks, even those not requiring an appointment, will only take place by appointment. Therefore, please avoid unnecessary visits to the Consulate General's premises.
- When visiting the Consulate General, please take the necessary precautions recommended by health professionals. Please do not come if you have symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, joints and muscle aches, discomfort and difficulty breathing or if you were in countries with a high incidence of coronavirus cases (eg China, Iran, Italy, South Korea, etc.) less than 14 days ago. If you experience the above symptoms, you will not be permitted to enter the premises of the Consulate General. - Citizens who already have arranged an appointment for the period March 17 - March 30, 2020, might be contacted to check if their physical presence at the Consulate General is necessary.
- Until further notice, it will not be possible to schedule a new appointment, except for emergencies. If you consider your case extremely urgent, please contact the Consulate General.

We urge you to follow the instructions issued by the Federal Government and the State Authorities, stay home with your family, wash your hands regularly, avoid handshakes and public gatherings.
