Commemoration of the Greek Independence Day

On the occasion of our Independence day, March 25, the President of the House of Representatives of the state of Georgia, invited the Consul of Greece, Mr. Georgios Panagiotidis, the Honourary Consul of Cyprus Ms Poly Potter, members of the Consulate and the Greek community of Atlanta to be present for the voting in of the resolution of the House of Representatives HR 726, in honour of our National Independence day.

This was followed by a meeting with the Governor of Georgia Nathan Deal, who handed over to the Greek delegation, the proclamation of Independence by the state of Georgia, commemorating our National Day.
