Consul Papanikolaou visits the Greek Diaspora in New Orleans

On the occasion of the completion of 100 years from the liberation of the island of Chios, Greece, Consul George Papanikolaou visited the Greek Diaspora in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, (November, 10-11).  The Consul was invited by the Chian association of New Orleans.  During his stay, he participated in the two-day celebrations. He also met with members of the Greek community and attended the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the oldest in the country. Finally he visited several Greek owned maritime companies in the area.
