Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to visit the United States of America (Washington, 17-18 July 2019)

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel to the United States, where, on Wednesday, 17 July, he will meet with his U.S. counterpart, Mike Pompeo, with whom he will discuss issues of bilateral, regional and international interest.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs will also meet with the U.S. President’s National Security Advisor, J. Bolton, and Senator B. Menendez (D-NJ).

He will also participate in the proceedings of the Ministerial Conference to Advance Religious Freedom, which is taking place in Washington on 17 and 18 July.

Finally, together with His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, N. Pelosi, he will attend a roundtable on the expulsion of Christians from the Middle East and the relevant actions of His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
