Power of Attorney
The person who gives power of attorney must be legally capable of doing so; i.e. they must be of sound mind and of legal age (over 18 years old). Those who wish to give power of attorney must do so in person, before the Consular employee, providing at the same time their valid passport or their Greek identity card, which establish beyond any doubt their identity (name, surname, place and date of birth, name of father and mother).
The text of the power of the attorney must be drafted by a notary public in Greece or a lawyer practicing in Greece, and must be sent prior to the appointment to the Competent Consular Employee. Please note that the drafted text must include the full name and address of the appointee, as well as the purpose of the power of attorney.
